Job summary

Norfolk Iron is seeking a Truck Maintenance Coordinator in Norfolk, NE to support the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the fleet. You will manage parts inventories across locations, process maintenance-related purchase orders and invoices, and relay equipment status to Transportation and Maintenance leadership.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, understands basic truck and trailer parts, and can work with mechanics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL required or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with mechanical systems and parts identification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ordering parts from the TMT SAAS system.
• Enter invoices from vendors to be paid into TMT SAAS.
• Put parts away that are delivered from vendors.
• Keep accurate records of part inventory levels at all locations.
• Answer the phone when drivers call in with breakdowns, coordinating repairs.
• Enter accidents into NIM and insurance systems and track repairs/payments.
• Update trucks/trailers at 3rd party vendors.
• Use forklift to assist with unloading parts.

Truck Maintenance Coordinator | Norfolk, NE | PTO Offered Immediately!

The Truck Maintenance Coordinator supports the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of NIM’s truck and trailer fleet. This position maintains parts inventories across all locations, processes maintenance-related purchase orders and invoices, monitors equipment placed out of service, coordinates roadside breakdown repairs, and communicates equipment status to Transportation and Maintenance leadership.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee ordering parts from list generated from TMT SAAS system.
• Enter invoices from vendors to be paid into TMT SAAS.
• Put parts away that are delivered from vendors.
• Keep accurate records of part inventory levels at all locations.
• Answer the phone when drivers call in with breakdowns on the road, and coordinate repairs that need to be made.
• Enter accidents into NIM and insurance systems. Track repairs and payments.
• Update trucks / trailers at 3 rd party vendors.
• Use forklift to assist with unloading parts coming in.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
• Know and understand basic parts and mechanical functions of trucks and trailers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain information about breakdowns on the road so they can be fixed in an efficient manner.
• Must work with mechanics to keep workflow in the shop productive.
• Utilize TMS system to order parts and enter invoices.
• Ability to drive a forklift (company will train and certify).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have or be able to obtain a CDL.
• Experience with mechanical systems and parts identification.
