Job summary

APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking aTruck Technician to diagnose and repair heavy equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You will dismantle, rebuild, and maintain machinery, document records, and collaborate with maintenance staff to keep the fleet ready for action.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–6 months of hands-on heavy equipment experience, and preferred ASE/CDL credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance is a plus.
• Minimum 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent education/experience.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) are preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.
• Have basic hand tools and sockets up to 1/2 inch.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical issues, analyze malfunctions, and deliver effective solutions.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain a wide range of equipment using advanced tools.
• Replace and overhaul major components: engines, transmissions, motors, hydraulic systems, and beyond.
• Test, operate, and fine-tune equipment to guarantee optimal efficiency and safety.
• Lead and mentor team members during cleaning, assembly, and disassembly operations.
• Document time and parts records with accuracy to stay compliant and efficient.
