Owen Equipment Truck Equipment Installer Technician Mechanic

Owen Equipment, an Owen Company, is seeking an experienced Truck Equipment Installer Technician Mechanic to join our expanding team. We are one of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the U.S., specializing in the sale, service, and rental of sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers, and related accessories. Additionally, we are a leading upfitter of service bodies and snow equipment, representing brands such as IMT, Henke, Wausau-Everest, Swenson Spreader Co., and Oshkosh.

Our five full-service locations are in Portland, OR; Kent, WA; Spokane, WA; Fairfield, CA; and Salt Lake City, UT. Our clientele includes major municipalities and contractors across the Western U.S. Our equipment plays a vital role in street and sewer maintenance, snow removal, infrastructure location, and electrical grid support.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various truck bodies and equipment such as dump bodies, flatbeds, water tanks, plows, chippers, and custom machines.
• Perform electrical installations, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in the commercial truck/truck equipment industry.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.
