Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand, located in Monroe, WI, is seeking a Truck Equipment Installer/Upfitter. You will read job orders, lay out work plans, and install welded and hydraulic assemblies on trucks. You will also drive vehicles for tests and modify equipment per blueprints.

Welding or mechanical experience is a plus. Strong reading and math skills, and the ability to follow written or diagram instructions are required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and execute instructions as found on blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Welding experience is a plus, not required.
• Mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Places large truck equipment components in place as specified.

• Installs units such as welds, electrical components, bolts, and hydraulics on various areas of the truck.
• Drives commercial vehicles in and out of the shop as well as test-drives said vehicles as needed.

• Troubleshoots for repairs.
• Performs function tests when finished.
