Job summary

MONROE TRUCK EQUIPMENT, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Louisville, KY, seeks a versatile technician to inspect, repair, and assemble light and heavy trucks. You will read prints, follow instructions, and apply mechanical aptitude to deliver reliable solutions and an excellent customer experience.

The role covers building components, installing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, welding and fabrication, and maintaining shop equipment.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic math, reading and comprehension required.
• Ability to use crane and hoists.
• Ability to use power tools and machinery.
• Auto mechanical experience preferred.
• Welding, hydraulic and electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble truck components to customer specifications.
• Install and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on projects.
• Perform welding and fabrication to build, modify, and meet specs.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to restore operation.

Position

Perform any and all tasks related to inspecting, repairing, servicing, and building various types of light duty and/or heavy-duty trucks. This requires the ability to work from prints and instructions as well as use mechanical aptitude to create solutions. This position is also responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble various truck components to specification per customer requirements.
• Install and/or maintain all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on assigned projects and builds.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks in order to build, modify, and follow specifications.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe use in operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to return working operation of truck components.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or Experience.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and have basic math knowledge.
• Ability to use Crane and hoists.
• Ability to use power tools and machinery.
• Auto Mechanical Experience (Preferred).
• Welding, Hydraulic and Electrical Experience (Preferred).
