Avow Hospice Treasures program seeks a Truck Driver/Store Helper in Naples, FL. You will receive donations, drive a box truck to donor homes, and deliver items to the Treasures store while maintaining safety and inventory standards.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a box truck. The role requires Saturday availability and basic computer skills for POS usage and record-keeping.

• Experience driving a box truck; familiarity with the Naples area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Treasures truck to donor homes, load goods, and deliver to the store.
• Receive and process donations; issue in-kind receipts.
• Maintain the Treasures truck and perform monthly safety inspections.
• Sort, clean, and prep items for sale; keep processing area organized.
• Operate the POS system and assist with merchandising under guidance.
• Create a friendly environment and respond to customer inquiries.
• Participate in team meetings and assist with special projects as needed.

Job Summary

The Treasures Truck Driver/Store Helper will be responsible for receiving donations and processing merchandise through the intake area, making furniture pickups in the Treasures truck, ensuring all sellable goods meet Treasures quality standards, sorting, cleaning, and taking furniture to the sales floor as directed. The role includes cross‑training in other areas for shift coverage, daily store maintenance, and cleaning. All staff must work assigned shifts between 7:30am and 6pm Monday through Saturday.

Essential Job Functions

• Effectively communicate with donors who drop off donations and process in‑kind donation receipts.
• Drive the Treasures truck to donor homes, load goods into the truck, and deliver them to the store.
• Maintain the Treasures truck in good working order.
• Perform monthly safety inspections on the truck.
• Efficiently sort, clean, and prep items for sale per guidelines.
• Keep the processing area clean and organized.
• Operate the point of sale (POS) system.
• Assist in merchandising items throughout the store under the guidance of the manager and assistant manager.
• Create a friendly environment and respond courteously to customers.
• Respond to critical incidents (fire, robbery, shoplifting, injury reports, natural disasters) per company policy.
• Assist with special projects for Avow as needed.
• Participate in monthly team meetings with a positive attitude.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current, valid driver’s license; valid auto insurance; CDL NOT REQUIRED.

Language Skills: Communication skills of reading, writing, and speaking in English.

Math Skills: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages/fractions.

Other Qualifications: Previous thrift store experience preferred; familiarity with the greater Naples area; experience driving a box truck.
