Job summary

AVOW INC in Naples, FL seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building operations, safety, and maintenance across campus facilities. You will manage staff, plans, budgets, and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with regulations and high service standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong knowledge of hospice and Joint Commission standards, with leadership responsibilities under the CFO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and regulatory knowledge related to hospice standards.
  • Understanding of facility operations and compliance requirements.
  • Supervisory experience in facilities management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct maintenance of facilities and properties.
  • Oversee all building operations, including repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing and waste management systems.
  • Evaluates and recommends contractors for facility projects and delivery of services.
  • Ensure building operations meet service standards and comply with all laws and regulations.
  • Develops and monitors annual budgets.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and management of facilities staff.
  • Ensure buildings, facilities and grounds are maintained in exceptional condition.
  • Ensure maintenance of fire protection equipment, inspections and employee training.
  • Oversee safety compliance throughout entire facility and grounds.
  • Maintain records/logs of building systems and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure PMI lists for all building, grounds, equipment and systems.
  • Ensure emergency Management Plans are implemented as needed.
  • Review and assign work orders and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Develops, maintains and updates management on facility improvement project timelines and progress.
  • Ensures facility improvement projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Directly assists facilities staff with projects as needed.
  • Facilitates the activities of on-site and remote auditors and surveyors.
  • Key leader on the Emergency Management team.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year university
Knowledge of hospice regulations, AHCA regulations and The Joint Commission Standards

Job Duties

QualificationsEducation and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year university. Working knowledge of hospice regulations, AHCA regulations and The Joint Commission Standards.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current Florida Driver's License.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Under the direction of the CFO, this position supervises the facilities department staff.

Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
