Harbor Steel is seeking a dependable Shuttle Truck Driver with a Class A CDL to operate a local shuttle between Bowling Green and Lexington, KY. Typical runs are 2–3 times per week, with home every night and options for additional hours through local deliveries or warehouse work.

This role offers part-time or full-time opportunities, with responsibility for safe driving, load securing, and daily vehicle inspections in a longtime, established company dating back to 1952.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no driving restrictions.
• Ability and willingness to operate a manual transmission vehicle.

• Ability to tarp, untarp, and secure flatbed loads safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53-foot flatbed truck on the shuttle route between Bowling Green and Lexington.
• Transport steel products and skidded materials between facilities.
• Tarps and untarp loads and secures loads for transport.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Comply with DOT requirements and company safety procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous service at pickup and delivery locations.

What You’ll Do

As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you’ll safely transport long steel products and skidded materials between our Bowling Green and Lexington operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Safely operating a 53-foot flatbed truck on the assigned shuttle route
• Transporting steel products and skidded materials between facilities
• Safely tarping and untarping flatbed loads
• Properly securing loads to ensure safe transportationFollowing assigned routes and delivery schedules
• Completing routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Identifying and reporting mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Complying with applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety procedures
• Providing professional, courteous service at pickup and delivery locations

Full-time Opportunity: More Than Just Driving

Looking for steady, full-time employment? When shuttle deliveries aren’t scheduled, full-time drivers may have opportunities to supplement their hours by assisting with local deliveries or working as a Material Handler in our warehouse.

Material Handler responsibilities may include:

• Pulling customer orders accurately
• Identifying and handling steel products
• Tagging, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment
• Supporting daily warehouse operations as needed
