Job summary

J&B Group is hiring delivery drivers to operate routes from St. Michael, MN, covering local metro areas and interstate/neighboring states. You will deliver products safely, maintain DOT records, and communicate with mechanics to ensure vehicle readiness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product in a safe and professional manner per customer timelines.
• Maintain DOT paperwork and drive log accuracy; keep customer relations positive.
• Keep vehicles clean and coordinate with mechanics regarding vehicle issues.
• Complete all required DOT inspections and paperwork to stay compliant.

Compensation:

• CLASS A: Starting hourly rate for this position is: $28.00 per hour
• CLASS B: Starting hourly rate for this position is: $25.00 per hour
• Pay is based on job-related experience

Schedule:

Location:

• Routes leave out of St. Michael, MN and cover local metro locations, out state Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and/or Wisconsin.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver product in a safe and professional manner within a timeframe designated by customer demands.
• Establish paper trail for each delivery and complete all appropriate D.O.T. and related paperwork. Maintain a friendly relationship with customers without spending an inappropriate amount of time.
• Keep vehicles clean.
• Communicate with our mechanics on any problems experienced with vehicles.
• Physically complete all DOT required vehicle inspections and paperwork in order to stay in compliance with all DOT regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Commercial Drivers License - routes available for both Class A and Class B
• Requires DOT Medical Certification.
• Must be willing to work variable hours and days including overtime.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Requires ability to lift 60 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 150 lbs.
• Requires ability to control a two wheeler down a ramp on a trailer.
• A lift assessment, DOT physical, and drug screen are required of all truck drivers.
• Subject to outside weather conditions.
