What You'll Do
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and communicate load issues to production, sales and customers
- Work safely to prevent injuries by following safety rules and wearing company PPE
- Ensure vehicles are properly loaded and secured, and product is delivered safely and on time
- Inspect vehicle(s) for safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists
- Inventory and inspect goods to determine quantities and conditions
- Secure chains across trailers, tarpaulin loads, and perform trailer hook/drop operations
- Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service/repair status, following state and federal regulations
- Perform daily pre‑trip, inter‑trip, and post‑trip inspections
- Use electronic logging devices during operation of vehicle
- Set up a sideboard kit around the perimeter of the trailer floor
- Deliver products to customers, contractors and job sites throughout the region
- Work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, including possible overtime
What You'll Need
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience (flatbed hauling over‑the‑road experience preferred)
- No more than one moving violation in the last 3 years
- No on‑road preventable accidents in the past 3 years (as shown on MVR)
- Pass a company road test and maintain a clean driving record
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
- Physical ability to walk, climb stairs/ladders, work with chains, drop/hook trailers, perform inspections, and work outside in all weather conditions
- Read, speak and understand English
- Pass required DOT and CMC logistics drug testing and physicals
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
