Job summary

RBH Construction Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver/Operator to safely operate commercial vehicles and construction equipment in support of utility and infrastructure projects.

You will transport materials, inspect units, and assist with on-site activities while following DOT regulations and company safety policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid license, and CDL preferred or required per assignment, with the ability to pass drug/alcohol screens and maintain a clean MVR.

  • Ability to meet company driving standards and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, water trucks, and other assigned vehicles.
  • Transport materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
  • Load, unload, and secure materials in accordance with DOT and company standards.
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Operate construction equipment as assigned, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, and other equipment.
  • Assist crews with utility, excavation, grading, trenching, restoration, and general construction activities as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Identify and report vehicle, equipment, and safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and participate in safety meetings and training.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and fellow crew members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview: Position Summary

The Truck Driver/Operator is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles and construction equipment in support of utility, infrastructure, and construction projects. This position requires adherence to all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and job site requirements while transporting materials, equipment, and personnel as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles and equipment multiple times throughout the day.
  • Ability to sit, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods.
Working Conditions
  • Outdoor construction and utility work environments.
  • Exposure to traffic, noise, dust, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
  • Occasional overtime, evening, weekend, and travel requirements based on business needs.
