Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, seeks a Truck Driver with CDL A to transport fly-ash and other materials. You will deliver on time to customers, maintain records, and support dispatcher communications.

Requires high school diploma, CDL A, 3 years driving, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong written/spoken communication. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits within CRH’s network.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and pneumatic tanker in compliance with CDL regulations

• Maintain timely communication with dispatcher for routing and issues
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and flexibility in scheduling
• Ensure accuracy of logs, receipts and weight tickets

Job Summary

The Eco Material Technologies Truck Driver drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combinations to transport and deliver fly-ash, a coal-by-product or other materials. This role requires the on-time delivery of product to end customer, positive attitude, reliability, and accurate documentation and record keeping.

Job Responsibilities

• Must possess working knowledge of tractor and pneumatic tanker combination, Federal and State regulations inherent to Commercial Driver Licensing (CDL)
• Ability to operate equipment in tight places
• Possess good interpersonal skills, be a team player, present a good appearance, good communication skills; both written and oral
• Job duties entail the loading fly ash or other materials and transporting them to the customer's location, via daily direction of dispatcher
• Daily performance, of pre-trip and post trip equipment inspection, and preparation of related trip documentation
• Trip documentation comprises daily driver's logbook, equipment inspection log, trip reports, daily time sheet, fuel tickets, source plant load weight tickets and receipt signatures from end customer confirming delivery
• Routinely calls dispatcher for new routing assignments, instructions as regards any equipment failure, report down time, demurrage situations and any other issues requiring the assistance of supporting personnel
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
• CDL A, required
• Must have at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
