Job summary

Case Farms, LLC in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a professional truck driver with a valid Class A CDL to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for pre-trip inspections, safe operation of a live poultry tractor-trailer, and accurate reporting of maintenance issues while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, willingness to work nights and weekends, and the ability to read and write legibly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and reliability.
• Experience driving live poultry tractor-trailer preferred.
• Follow DOT/state/federal laws and company safety policies.
• Wear assigned PPE as required.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (i.e., tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1-year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal Laws.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous live poultry tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
