Job summary

Penske Logistics invites you to join our CDL Class A driving team, delivering palletized grocery freight across WA and OR. Layover and home positions are available with overtime after 40 hours and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Apprentice opportunities exist for drivers with less than 1 year of experience.

You will drive late-model Penske trucks, equipped with safety cameras, and benefit from a comprehensive package including health care, retirement and more. Daily home time is common in many roles.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in 3 years.
• Follow all laws, regulations and company rules; pass background and drug screening.
• Safety-sensitive position; maintain alertness and safety for self and others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletized grocery freight throughout WA and OR.
• Light-touch freight to end of trailer with electric pallet jack; no hand unload.
• Operate late-model Penske trucks with safety cameras.
• Join a team with a strong customer service focus and on-time delivery.

• Home positions: $33.75/hour, overtime after 40 hours
• $5000 sign-on bonus

What you will do:

• Light-touch freight to end of trailer with electric pallet jack, no hand unload

Schedule:

• 5-day work week (weekends required)
• 2 consecutive days off each week
• Various dispatch times available

Qualifications:

• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
