Job summary

Wesco in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Truck Driver with a CDL Class A to operate a tractor-trailer for local deliveries and pickups. You will prepare, verify, and document shipments, load and secure cargo, and maintain driver logs in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The role requires safety-conscious driving, accurate load verification, and teamwork with dispatch to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a Class A CDL license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Detail oriented.
• Customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally.

You will prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. You will load, secure and unload cargo, and maintain a log of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.

Working Environment

Driver – Work is generally performed in moving vehicle. Driving required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Expectations

• Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds
• Work may require excessive bending or stooping
• Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job
• Employee required to climb ladders
• Employee required to use hand tools

Compensation Details: $26.02 - $32.53 Per Hour

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
