Job summary

Wesco in the United States is hiring a non-CDL Truck Driver to support distribution and supply chain operations for a Fortune 250 company. You will learn Wesco’s distribution techniques and contribute to timely delivery and pickup of goods.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Applicants must hold a valid Truck Driver license and have at least 2 years of driving experience. Benefits include training opportunities, health options, 401k, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Truck Driver license.
• 2 years of truck driving experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Good vision for near/far/night and ability to hear differences in sounds.
• Able to quickly respond to signals (sound/light/picture) during operations.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive delivery instructions.
• Verify contents of inventory with shipping papers.
• Maintain records per regulations.
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs.
• Present bills/receipts and collect payments for goods.

A Day in The Life of a Truck Driver

As a Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick‑up of goods to ensure timely service. * Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Requires applicable truck driver license for state.

• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instruction for delivery or pick up
• Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers
• Maintain records in accordance with regulations
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc.,
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded

• Compensation Details $17.22 - $20.66 Per Hour

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
