Job summary

Wesco is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to transport cargo to and from specified destinations in Lafayette, LA. The role requires preparing and providing documentation for delivery or pickup and maintaining a satisfactory driving record with CDL certification. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m., on-site at the Lafayette location. The job includes loading/unloading, obtaining signatures, and occasionally serving as a Warehouse Associate.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid CDL License.
• 2 years required of truck driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a truck with capacity up to three tons and usually six wheels to transport materials
• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
• Deliver materials to locations designated by the customer
• Obtain customer’s signature for proof of delivery and help to unload truck
• Perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries

A Day in The Life of a CDL Truck Driver

As a CDL Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Must have CDL Classification/Certification. Requires applicable truck driver license for state.

Education & Experience

• Compensation Details $23.42 - $29.28 Per Hour

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
