Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Nashville, TN. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for career growth within a nationwide logistics network.

You will drive regional routes with day cab and sleeper tractor configurations, earning $2,000+ per week with additional pay for endorsements. Training is provided, and safety comes first as you support a diverse customer base across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL with proper endorsements.
• 1 year of flatbed or tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs and records; perform required inspections.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight when required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Earn extra $1/hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper

• Tractor Type: Day Cabs and Sleepers - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbeds, Dry Vans, Reefers, Conestogas, Curtainsides and Container
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:Mix or Touch and No Touch
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
