Job summary

Ryder in Nashville, TN is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Earn $29.00 per hour with weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package. Routes are regional with overnight stays in Ryder-booked hotels or sleepers.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years of age, and endorsements; experience ranges from 9 months to 5 years depending on the history. Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples endorsements are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles/Triples endorsements required.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background check including DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and safety standards.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs and follow routes as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:Mix or Touch and No Touch
• 1 year of Flatbed experience required

• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
