Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Montross, VA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Deliveries are regional to WV, MD, DE, NJ, NY, PA and surrounding states.

Solo miles pay 0.70 per mile with 1,300-1,750+ miles weekly; stops pay; layover pay; and paid training. Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks and provide 24/7 roadside maintenance.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$.70 per Mile with 1300-1750 or more Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$30.00 to $65.00 per stop with 5 to 8 Stops per Week
• Layover Pay: $65.00 per night with 1-4 layovers per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday - some Sunday dispatches for Monday Delivery
• Start Time: Varies ( usually AM deliveries )

• Deliver SOLOTo: WV, MD, DE, NJ, NY, PA, and surrounding states.
• Route: Regional
• Tractor Type: Sleeper
• TrailerType:Flatbed 53' and Wedge Trailer 50'
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Trailers
• Mix of Light Touch and No touch freight:
• Using basic hand tools to put wheels and tongues on trailers. The customer rolls off the trailers.

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
