Job summary

Ryder in Marion, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver with weekly pay and strong benefits. The role includes driving mostly East of Kansas, with weekend schedule and nights out. You will receive training, a safety focus, and opportunities for bonuses as you grow with Ryder.

Expect a structured pay plan including per-mile and per-stop incentives, health coverage, 401(k) with match, and paid time off from day one. This is a long-term driving career with support and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable tractor trailer experience: 9 months in 3 years OR 2 years in 5 years OR 5 years in 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regs.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain records/logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.55 - $0.62 for per Mile with 2500 - 3000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$19.05 per Stop with 3 - 7 Stops per Week
• Nights out: 4-5 Times Per Week
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $500 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Sign on Bonus:Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays you $1750 at 6 months and $1750 at 1 year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday - Friday
• Start Time: AM Dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
