Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Victorville, CA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver regionally with 60–70 hours per week and a start window of 4:00 am to 10:00 am. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Compensation includes hourly pay of $30.00, plus per diem of $50.00 per night (3–5 nights/week). Route covers Western 11 with 16–20 stops per run, and vehicles are Sleeper tractors with 28' and 53' dry vans.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must pass Ryder drug test.
• Background check including previous 3 years of records.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must pass a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards and maintain accurate logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
