Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lockbourne, OH, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. $1340 Weekly Guarantee and $25.50 per hour, OT after 40 hours, 40+ hours weekly, $50 per night per diem, and overnight hotel accommodation when needed.

Training is provided; schedule runs Monday through Friday with start times around 6:00 AM. Deliver solo to the Eastern US (FL focus) with a mix of Sleeper 53-ft trailers and straight trucks; 1 year

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $25.50 Per Hour
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week

• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Loyalty Bonus:Pays You $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year

• Deliver SOLOTo: FL and Locations Throughout the Eastern US. Away from home up to 85% of the time
• Tractor Type: Mixture of Sleeper Tractors with 53ft Trailers & 26' Straight Trucks
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch/Driver Assist - HVAC

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
