Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate in Columbus, OH and nearby areas. The role features regional routes, 40+ hours per week, and weekly pay with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and customer service.

Expect $2,000+ per week with paid training, medical/dental/vision benefits after 30 days, PTO from day one, uniforms and boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match. Ryder supports driver development and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide a valid CDL with endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years or 5 years in last 10 years

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain accurate records/logs
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Earn extra $1/hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Tenure Bonus:Pays You $1000 Each Year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

• Deliver SOLOTo: IN, OH, MI, TN & KY
• Route: Regional
• Tractor Type: Day Cabs and Sleepers - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbeds, Dry Vans, Reefers, Conestogas, Curtainsides and Container
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:Mix or Touch and No Touch
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
