Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery

Location: Byron Center, MI

Company has been in business since 1932, providing delicious snacks and dips worldwide. Due to continued growth, we are seeking Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery drivers within 30 miles of Byron Center, MI.

Compensation: Average annual salary $85,000-$100,000+, including:

• Activity-based pay (miles, stops, pallet return, etc.)
• Typically 1200-1600 miles per week
• Work 50-60 hours per week
• Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule:

• 24/7 operation; some routes include weekends and holidays
• Variable start times; typically 10-14 hours/day
• Routes assigned by bidding based on seniority; access to preferred routes after 1-2 years
• 1-3 layovers per week with overnight stay paid by the company
• 1-5 stops daily; routes mainly in MI, OH, IN, IL
• Schedule may change based on business needs

Responsibilities:

• Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, hand cart
• Touch freight, deliver food-grade products to warehouses and end-users
• Drive CDL A day cabs with 36'-53' trailers
• Secure pallets with straps; document inspections
• Manage hours of service and ensure DOT compliance
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform vehicle checks and report maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years old
• Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Card and pass pre-employment drug/background screening
• At least 1 year CDL A driving experience
• Preferred local route delivery experience, including use of hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack
• Physical ability to stand, sit, kneel, lift, push, pull, and work in various environments
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• English proficiency (reading, speaking, writing)
• Pass pre-hire drug test and physical
• Lift/push/pull 15-20 pounds without assistance
