Ryder in Richmond, CA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Drivers are paid weekly, with benefits and opportunities to earn up to $120k+ per year at the top end. Training is provided and uniforms, tools, and boot allowances are included.

Responsibilities include regional OTR routes to the Western states, solo deliveries, and adherence to safety standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday with some flexibility, and a 401(k) with company match is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• 9 months experience in past 3 years, OR 2 years in last 5 years, OR 5 years in last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; maintain logs and records.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper

• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
