Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Dallas, TX. Enjoy weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Start times vary, with Monday–Friday shifts and possible Saturdays; you will operate Sleeper tractors with Dry Van trailers across specified states. Ryder trains you on equipment, with generous benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowances, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check incl. Drug/alcohol verification (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Have Class A CDL with endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company rules.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.66 per Mile with 1100 - 1600 Miles per Week
• $1220 Weekly Guarantee
• Sign on Bonus: Pays you $1750 at 30 days, $1750 at 90 days
• Solo Stops Pay:$28.00 per Stop with 9 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $55.00 per night with 4 nights per Week
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; possible Saturdays
• Start Time: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM Dispatch

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
