Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Dallas, TX is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. You will operate sleepers-automatics, dry van trailers, and handle regional deliveries across TX and neighboring states, with a Monday–Friday schedule and early start times.

Earn an average of $1,500–$1,700 per week, plus per diem, stops pay, and a monthly safety bonus. Ryder offers paid training, medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day one, uniforms, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and endorsements.
• 9 months to 5 years experience depending on time window.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate logs.
• Load/unload freight as required by customer.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.52 per Mile with 1500 - 2000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$30.50 per Stop with 10 - 30 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $30.50 per night
• Job-site delivery Pay: $40.00
• Monthly Safety Bonus: $125 per month (Mustmeet all criteria)
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (Off Weekends)
• Start Time: 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
