Ryder in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. This role offers weekly pay, paid training, and comprehensive benefits.

The driver will operate tractors with reefer trailers on a regional route, following DOT regulations and Ryder safety standards. The position requires a valid Class A CDL with endorsements, 9 months to 5 years of experience, and the ability to pass drug, background, and DOT tests.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Must pass a Ryder drug test and background check including motor vehicle records from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.76 per Mile with 1800 - 2100 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$17.50 per Stop with 4 - 8 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night with 4 - 5 nights per week
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 daysLoyalty Bonus: Pays you $1750 at 6 months days and $1750 at 1 year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: 7 day week operation with 2 consecutive days off
• Dispatch Time: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testProvide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
