Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local, home-daily work in Jacksonville, FL. The schedule is Monday through Friday with 30–35 hours per week and starts at 8:00 AM.

Pay includes a base hourly rate and weekly $570 gross pay for approximately 30 hours, with potential for more hours up to 35. Benefits highlighted include uniforms, cell phone and boot allowances, PTO starting Day 1, and 401k with company match after one year.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and verifiable experience in tractor trailer or similar vehicle.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, background check, and DOT physical.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety and DOT regulations.
• Maintain logs and records as required.
• Support route shuttle between Ryder customer facilities.

Weekly Pay $570 per week (based 30 hours) And it gets better -

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $19.00 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed (30-35 hours per week)
• Start Time: 8:00 AM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
