Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local shuttle routes. The role offers home daily schedules, 30–35 hours per week, with start times around 8:00 AM.

Weekly pay is $570 based on 30 hours, with a $19.00 hourly rate and opportunities for benefits after onboarding. Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check (last 3 years).
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide a valid CDL with endorsements for the position.
• 9 months exp in the past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Follow written and/or oral instructions; read and apply laws, rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety and DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; perform other tasks as assigned.
• Support customer service and shuttle movements between Ryder facilities.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
