Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Tucker, GA is seeking a solo Class A CDL Truck Driver to shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities. You will operate 36-months-or-newer trucks, with no-touch freight and home daily local routes.

The position offers weekly pay, a 7:00 AM start, and a Monday–Friday schedule. Ryder provides 24/7 roadside maintenance, truck fuel-up at nationwide facilities, and opportunities for bonuses and company discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years OR 2 years within the last 5 years OR 5 years within the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety/DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with company policy.
• Follow written and/or oral instructions and support customer service standards.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 Per Hour

• Home Time: Local - Home Daily

• Schedule: Monday - Friday

• Start Time: 7:00 AM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities

• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
