Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Pittsburgh, PA. This local role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Home daily with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8:00 AM start time.

Drivers shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities, with no-touch freight and multiple maintenance facilities supporting operations. Eligibility requires CDL with endorsements and DOT/ background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass Ryder Drug Test and background check for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Experience requirements: 9 months/2 years/5 years within specified windows.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
• Assist with the shuttle movement of equipment and no-touch freight.
• Support safety initiatives and customer service during deliveries.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $21.00 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday - Friday

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
