Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialist to move materials across North Carolina and nearby states in a safe, timely manner. This full-time role offers salary-based pay with potential bonuses, and no touch freight; loads are secured, tarped as needed, and forklift-assisted at sites.

You will deliver friendly customer service at loading/delivery sites, follow DOT regulations, and seek growth within a values-driven company that promotes from within.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Flatbed experience.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials across NC and surrounding states safely and on schedule.
• Provide friendly customer service at loading and delivery sites.
• Secure loads and tarp as needed; forklift loading/unloading.
• No touch freight; ensure proper loading and unloading.

Description

As one of our Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting materials to our locations throughout North Carolina and surrounding states in a safe and timely manner. There are several locations to be serviced throughout the state. This is a full-time driving position, salary based pay with opportunity for bonuses. You will provide friendly and professional customer service at the loading and delivery sites. You are responsible for securing the load and occasionally tarping the product. No touch freight! Material will be loaded and unloaded with a forklift.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
• Flatbed experience
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Successfully pass required DOT pre-employment screening
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
