Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialist to transport materials to locations throughout North Carolina and surrounding states. You will ensure safe, timely deliveries, secure loads, and occasionally tarp products, with forklift-assisted loading/unloading and no touch freight.

This full-time driving role emphasizes customer service at loading and delivery sites, a stable schedule, and opportunities for bonuses as the company grows within the region.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Flatbed experience preferred.
• Familiar with DOT regulations and pre-employment screenings.
• Strong communication and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to Carter locations across North Carolina and nearby states.
• Safely secure loads and occasionally tarp products; no touch freight.
• Provide professional customer service at loading and delivery sites.
• Operate loading and unloading via forklift as needed.

As one of our Shuttle CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting materials to our locations throughout North Carolina and surrounding states in a safe and timely manner. There are several locations to be serviced throughout the state. This is a full-time driving position, salary based pay with opportunity for bonuses. You will provide friendly and professional customer service at the loading and delivery sites. You are responsible for securing the load and occasionally tarping the product. No touch freight! Material will be loaded and unloaded with a forklift.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
• Flatbed experience
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Successfully pass required DOT pre-employment screening
• Good communication skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
