Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Part Time Class A CDL Transfer Driver to shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities. The role features local home daily time, a Monday-Friday schedule, and a start time of 7 AM.

Weekly pay is $570 (based on 30 hours) with $19.00 per hour and benefits including uniforms allowance, 401k rollover with company match after one year, and driver-focused decisions to stay safe.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 3 different experience windows: 9 months (past 3 years) OR 2 years (past 5 years) OR 5 years (past 10 years).
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check, and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
• Maintain logs/records and perform assigned tasks.
• Help ensure safety by detecting hazards and following procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 Per Hour

• Home Time: Local - Home Daily

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Start Time: 7AM- 2PM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities

• Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road testProvide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
