Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lafayette, IN with local home daily routes and a strong pay-and-benefits package. Drivers earn a weekly gross of $1,385 or more and receive a weekly guarantee along with per-mile, per-stop, and drop/pay incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within past 5 years, or 5 years within past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Weekly Guarantee $1385 per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.53 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay:$10.00 per Stop
• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook
• Shutdown Bonus:Pays You $2000 within the first year
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $250 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days

• Schedule: Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
