Job summary

CMC is seeking a CDL A driver in Kapolei, HI to support our delivery operations across the region. The role requires safe driving, adherence to DOT rules, and reliable handling of goods to construction sites and customers.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load and unload as needed, and maintain accurate paperwork while complying with safety procedures. This position offers opportunities for growth within a Fortune 500 company with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

Complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with dispatch, sales, and customers.
Perform daily pre-trip, intra-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
Follow all safety rules and wear PPE as required.
Inventory and inspect products for quantity and condition.
Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
Maintain vehicle service and repair logs per state and federal regulations.
Operate vehicles using ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
Assist with chaining, strapping, tarping, hitching/unhitching, and safe climbing on/off truck or trailer.
Perform additional duties to ensure safe transportation per regulations.
Work flexible hours according to business needs.

What You'll Do

Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use ofsideboardkitsand safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailer
Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations
Work flexible hoursand be available based on business needs

What You'll Need

Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
No DUI/DWI within the past five yearsAt least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing
No more than one moving violation in the past three years
Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections

Your Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred
