Job summary

CMC is seeking drivers to support delivery operations across our region. You will complete paperwork, communicate load timing, and ensure safe, on-time transport of products to customers and jobsites.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, ability to pass DOT tests, and adherence to safety protocols while operating and inspecting equipment. Training on ELD and dashcams is provided.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL and be 21+ years old.
  • Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing.
  • Experience with tractor-trailer operations and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with dispatch, sales, and customers.
  • Perform daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
  • Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
  • Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
  • Inventory and inspect products for quantity and condition.
  • Load, secure, and deliver cargo on time and safely.
  • Maintain vehicle service logs per regulations.
  • Operate vehicles with ELD and safety dashcams (training provided).
  • Assist with loading tasks and use of tarps and straps.
  • Adapt to flexible hours based on business needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers
  • Conduct daily pre-trip,inter-trip, andpost trip inspections of truck and cargo

  • Follow all safety rules and always wear required PPE
  • Inventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and condition
  • Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time
  • Maintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Operate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices(ELD)and safety dashcams (training provided)
  • Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use ofsideboardkitsand safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailer
  • Perform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulations
  • Work flexible hoursand be available based on business needs
What You’ll Need
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to speak and understand English language in verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedback
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • No DUI/DWI within the past five years
  • At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
  • Ability to pass DOT physicals and drug testing
  • No more than one moving violation in the past three years
  • Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspections
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
