Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Conway Family Store in Conway, SC is seeking a store driver to transport donations and support store operations. You will operate vehicles, forklifts, and balers as needed, with a focus on safe, timely donations handling.

Qualifying candidates should have a valid driver's license, the ability to pass MVR/background checks, and be physically capable of lifting heavy donations as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred but not required.
• One year experience driving a heavy duty truck or large van or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally.
• Be physically fit, heavy lifting required.
• MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED AND ABILITY TO PASS MVR AND BACKGROUND

Responsibilities

• Drive The Salvation Army's vehicles to pick up and deliver donations of furniture, clothing and other items to Salvation Army stores.
• Assist with donations and items to be returned to the warehouse; operate forklift and baler as directed.
• Support store operations as directed by the Production Manager.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and perform morning checks on fluid levels, belts, and tires.
• Report maintenance needs of vehicles to the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and store employees.
• Load, carry, and haul donations into the truck and unload at stores.

Job Location: NSC-Conway Family Store - CONWAY, SC 29526, Job Category: Store, Drive The Salvation Army's vehicles to pick up and deliver donations of furniture, clothing and any other items to The Salvation Army stores. Directions will be given by The Production Manager. Provides assistance as needed and directed by the Production Manager to Store operations. Will be driving forklift, running baler and cycling of merchandise . Will assist managers with donations and items to be returned to the warehouse (other stores. Responsible for vehicles cleanliness and checking fluid levers at the start of day. Check tightness of belts and tire pressure each morning. Trucks washed monthly and swept each day. Reports any maintenance needs of vehicle to Production Supervisor. Maintains good relationship with customers and store employees. Lifts, carries and hauls donations into truck, unloads donations from truck upon arrival at stores.

Qualifications:

High School or GED preferred but not required
