Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a donor transportation assistant to drive trucks and assist with donation logistics. You will pick up and drop off furniture and goods, operate a forklift and baler, and help move donations to stores and the warehouse.

You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads, with a valid license and clean driving record. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, reporting maintenance needs, and building good relations with store staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive Salvation Army vehicles to pick up and deliver donations to stores.
• Operate forklift and run baler as directed.
• Assist with donations and items returned to the warehouse.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness; check fluid levels, belts, and tire pressure daily.
• Report maintenance needs to Production Supervisor.
• Lifts, carries and hauls donations; unloads donations at stores.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and store employees.
