Job summary

Thyssenkrupp is hiring a Local Truck Driver for Aston, PA to transport materials to dedicated customer accounts. This position requires delivering products timely and ensuring loads are properly secured and paperwork completed.

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL with at least one year of verifiable experience and an excellent driving record. A high school diploma or GED is required; benefits include a full package and a stable work environment.

Qualifications

  • Flat-bed truck driving experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that correct items are loaded for delivery.
  • Perform inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure load is secure.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and ensure loading is proper and not overweight.
  • Deliver product and proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Ensure debris from loading/unloading is cleaned up.
  • Maintain truck's overall service and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at end of shift (logs, inspections, receipts, etc.).
  • Collect COD money owed and hand to proper personnel on return to the plant.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems or delivery problems on load sheets.

Job Description

Thyssenkrupp is hiring a Local Truck Driver for Aston, PA. This position requires transporting materials to our Dedicated Customer Accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify that correct items are loaded for delivery.
  • Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure truck is properly secured and not overweight.
  • Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
  • Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
  • Collect any COD money owed and ensure that money is given to the proper personnel upon return to the plant.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet)

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • 1- year min. verifiable CDL- A driving experience
  • Excellent driving record
  • Flat-bed truck driving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • High school diploma or GED
