Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a warehouse associate to process orders and move material in a safe, efficient manner on the warehouse floor. The role involves operating heavy machinery and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Required are a high school diploma, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, basic math, and forklift experience; English literacy is essential. Pre-employment drug testing applies. Reasonable accommodation requests may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product according to inventory plan.

• Completes cycle counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions.
• General clean up.
• Inspect forklift at start of shift and report issues.
• Comply with health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.

Job Summary

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.

• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.

• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.

• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.

• Completes cycle Counts.

• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.

• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.

• Performs general clean up.

• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.

• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.

• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.

• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED

• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet

• Ability to perform basic math skills

• Previous forklift experience

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions

• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements:

• Use of handheld measuring tools

• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
