ThyssenKrupp Materials, NA in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a professional truck driver for a dedicated route. You will deliver products to Thyssenkrupp locations, verify correct items, and maintain safe driving practices on a 53-foot dry van.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading/unloading and maintain vehicle security and cleanliness.
• Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation.
• Maintain trucks and perform required inspections; report issues.
• Adhere to hours of service and company policies.

Job Summary

Provide timely delivery of product to our customers. Represent ThyssenKrupp Materials, NA in a positive manner by providing customers with quick, precise, helpful, courteous and professional delivery service. Ensure truck is in proper working order. Perform various duties as required.

Job Description

We are hiring drivers for our Grand Rapids, MI warehouse. This is a dedicated route run. Drive 53-foot-long hard trailer to deliver products to various thyssenkrupp locations.

• Verify that correct items are loaded for delivery.
• Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure truck is properly secured and not overweight.
• Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.
• Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
• Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
• Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• 2- year min. verifiable CDL- A driving experience
• Excellent driving record
• 53' Dry Van Experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
