Job summary

CHS Dakota Plains Ag in Valley City, ND is seeking a Truck Driver to haul fertilizer, grain and seed to customers in a timely manner. This is a M-F home daily position with overtime during spring and fall busy seasons.

Candidates should possess a Class A CDL (or the ability to obtain one) and be able to obtain a hazmat endorsement, with the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. You will perform deliveries, load/unload, and maintain logs and customer service interactions.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to early-career commercial driving role; prior experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Must meet age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi tractor and trailer and/ or straight truck to deliver products safely and timely.
• Load and unload, connect/disconnect trailers, and follow safety protocols.
• Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports.
• Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.

Join our team today! . **Responsibilities** * Operate a semi tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner.* Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products* Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.* Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions* Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements* Perform pre trip and post trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly.
