Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable CDL Driver in Springfield, IL to safely deliver propane to homes and businesses on local routes, with a home-nightly schedule. You will represent Ferrellgas with professionalism and integrity, performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining delivery logs.

Qualifications include a CDL (A or B), HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly), a high school diploma, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good driving record required.
• Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds in all weather conditions.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States.
• No visa sponsorship required now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Lead with teamwork, professionalism, and integrity every day.
• Provide friendly, professional service as the face of Ferrellgas in your community.
• Operate propane trucks and equipment following all DOT and company safety standards.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Support customers with questions about deliveries, accounts, and propane safety.
• Take part in an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend emergency deliveries.

• Previous truck driving experience preferred


• Class A or B CDL, HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement, or be able to obtain quickly


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Good driving record


• Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds in all weather conditions


• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
