Job summary

Eastern Lift Truck Co. in Queenstown, MD is seeking a Truck Driver to support our local delivery operations. This role requires a Class B CDL and safe handling of heavy equipment, with duties including loading, transporting, unloading, and paperwork in compliance with DOT.

Eastern Lift Truck Co. Truck Driver

Currently, we are seeking a Truck Driver to support our Queenstown, MD location. This position only requires local travel within our company’s footprint. Main Duties:

• Load, handle and transport materials and heavy cargo safely (such as forklifts or other pieces of equipment)
• Investigate safety loads to correct materials loaded on trailer
• Deliver material to destinations, unload materials and complete paperwork
• Manage vehicle in safe operating condition required by DOT
• Manage logs and records as per DOT regulations
• Load and unload vehicles or building loads and secure for safe transportation
• Deliver load with good attention to customer service and safety
• Check vehicles and troubleshoot and maintain vehicles.
• Adhere to laws on commercial vehicle operation as per Federal, State and local authorities

Requirements:

• A clean driving record is a MUST!
• Class B CDL driver’s license
• Rollback and tractor trailer experience
• Experience SAFELY securing and delivering heavy equipment, forklifts, and/or like equipment preferred
• Detail oriented with IFTA paperwork, work orders, and delivery paperwork
• Customer service focused

Compensation:

This position is paid hourly with a pay range of $25.00-$32.00/hr. Compensation is based on experience.
