Job summary

APTIM is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to support soil excavation activities, including loading trucks, transporting soil to stockpiles or disposal, and backfilling for site restoration. This project involves residential remediation of metals-contaminated soils and pays the federal prevailing wage.

Base wage is $35.00 per hour, with prevailing wage adjustments for project work. Expect 5 days a week, 10 hours per day, and duties including operating dump and water trucks in residential communities.

Qualifications

• Civil construction and/or environmental work experience required.
• Must live within daily commute of Jackson, CA.
• No felonies on record.
• Clean driving record with valid license.
• Dependable transportation and cell phone.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.
• OSHA HAZWOPER preferred.
• CDL license.
• Tank endorsement.

Job Overview:

Under direction of Construction Manager, provide support to soil excavation activities including loading trucks and transport soil for stockpile/disposal, then transport backfill for site restoration and revegetation. May be required to assist in general labor duties. Truck Drivers will be paid federal prevailing wage for work performed.

Project Description: Residential remedial excavation and backfill of 40 properties, metals contaminated soils.

The base company wage for the CDL Truck Driver position is $35.00 per hour. However, for this project, the CDL Truck Driver position will be paid the Federal prevailing wage for work performed.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Use of Dump trucks (12-15 yd) and Water Trucks (2k)
• Operate trucks in safe manner in residential communities
• Will before labor tasks
• Ability to work in team environment in safe and productive manner
• Be safe and professional while working in residential communities

Basic Qualifications:

• Civil Construction and/or environmental work experience

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $35 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
