Job summary

Axionova Engineering Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to safely deliver materials to project sites across varied locations and remote routes.

You will operate commercial vehicles, conduct pre-trip inspections, and coordinate with project managers to meet delivery schedules. Ideal candidates have a valid CDL with a clean record, at least 2 years of trucking experience (flatbed/box trucks a plus), and a solid understanding of safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a truck driver in a commercial or construction environment.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record; Hazmat endorsements may be required for certain routes.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and mapping tools.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Provide excellent customer service when coordinating with project managers and site staff.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in trainings.

Position Summary

The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment to various project sites. This role requires a skilled driver with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of commercial vehicles, a good understanding of transportation regulations, and the ability to navigate challenging routes.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Safe Driving & Transportation:
   • Operate commercial trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
   • Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites as scheduled.
2. 2. Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections:
   • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
   • Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to the supervisor promptly.
3. 3. Loading and Unloading:
   • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment at project sites.
   • Secure loads appropriately to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
4. 4. Route Planning and Navigation:
   • Plan efficient delivery routes, considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and delivery schedules.
   • Utilize GPS and mapping tools to navigate unfamiliar routes effectively.
5. 5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
   • Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and logs.
6. 6. Customer Service:
   • Communicate effectively with project managers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
   • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients and site staff during loading and unloading.
7. 7. Safety Compliance:
   • Follow all safety procedures and protocols while driving and at job sites.
   • Participate in safety training and adhere to the companys safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver in a commercial or construction environment.
  • Experience with flatbed, box trucks, or other specialized vehicles is a plus.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Hazmat or endorsements may be required for certain routes or loads.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely in varying weather conditions and traffic situations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
  • Capability to sit for extended periods while driving.
