Job summary

NWH is seeking a Class A Truck Driver to join our network of routes and support the furniture, flooring, cabinet, molding, and millwork industries. You will be responsible for daily inspections, route management, and completing logs with accuracy.

The role requires a CDL Class A, a clean driving record, and a proactive safety mindset. You will report to the operations team from our WV facility and can expect weekend home time and adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CDL Class A and a clean driving record.
• Safety-conscious with a positive attitude.
• Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
• Pass pre-employment physical and a DOT drug screen.
• Wear PPE at loading/unloading points.
• Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability to handle traffic, weather and other unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections at start and end of shift; report problems or damage.
• Observe mechanical issues and report immediately.
• Complete a daily truck log and submit paperwork weekly.
• Manage routes and proceed the most efficient way possible.
• Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
• Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations.
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador with clients and the public.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL – Class A
• Certificate from an accredited CDL school
• 21 years or older
• At least six months of OTR experience

• Ability to drive for extended periods of time
